Paul Nikolich

Mr. Nikolich is currently working with YAS Corporation as the Chief Strategy Officer in the technology, standards, intellectual property and venture investing fields since September 2001. Paul plays a leadership role in the IEEE Standards Association, currently serves as Chairman of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN standards project and is an IEEE Fellow. Mr. Nikolich co-founded Broadband Access Systems, Inc. in February 1998 where he was Vice President of Technology and Standards. The BAS team invented and produced carrier-class next-generation Cable Modem Termination Systems. BAS merged with ADC in September 2000. Prior to co-founding BAS, Mr. Nikolich was a co-founder and Vice President of Engineering at Sarnoff Digital Communications in September 1996, a company specializing in developing high performance modems for digital video (SDTV and HDTV) and high speed data systems. Mr. Nikolich has held a number of technical positions of increasing responsibility at several communications & medical imaging technology companies beginning in 1978 such as Motorola, Analogic and Racal Datacom . He received a BS in Electrical Engineering and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, N.Y.
