Gerry White

Mr. White is an advisor for YAS Capital Partners focused on IP technology in the cable industry. Mr. White is the lead architect for the Access Networks Systems group within Motorola where he is responsible for the definition and architecture of next generation IP video edge products. Mr. White joined Motorola in 2001 through their acquisition of RiverDelta Networks and has been responsible for technology planning within the IP Systems group and for strategic direction in the core networks division. At River Delta Networks he served as Vice President and Chief Technical Officer and played a pivotal role in creating a carrier class CMTS/edge router to provide integrated VoIP and high speed data services to cable service providers. Prior to this he was Vice President and CTO of the Nortel Cable Group, a provider of voice and data equipment to the CATV market. While at Nortel, and its predecessors, Bay Networks and LanCity, White assumed a leading role in the cable industry’s efforts to define, develop, and deploy standards-based voice and data technology.
