Chris Grobicki

Mr. Grobicki has over 25 years of high technology product development experience working for companies in the Boston area. He has worked in engineering and executive capacities on computer and communication products and was one of the early pioneers of cable modem and DOCSIS technology. Chris was a founding member of Broadband Access Systems (BAS), where he formed the RF group, responsible for the development of the RF technology ina carrier class Cable Modem Termination System. After the acquisition by ADC Telecommunications, Chris first became Director of Hardware and then Vice President of Engineering, leading a group of over 180 engineers in Westborough, Massachusetts and Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the early 90’s Chris joined LANcity, the acknowledged pioneer in cable modem technology, as Vice President of Engineering. The LANcity development team became the primary authors of the DOCSIS specification and worked with the cable industry I its development. Chris received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and did work towards a graduate degree at MIT while working at Raytheon. He is also named on four patents for development work he has accomplished over the years.
